Jack has served in pastoral roles since 1978. He was the Associate Pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Saskatoon for five years and Lead Pastor at Summerland Baptist for 17 years (1978-2000). He served as the President of the Baptist Union Development Foundation (now CBWC Foundation) from the year 2000 to 2007 and served as a Director of the Foundation Board until 2014. He served as a Director on the Board of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities until Sept 2019 and presently serves (Beulah Gardens Home Society) Hopehill Housing in Vancouver, as Chairman of the Board.
Jack was the Lead Pastor at First Baptist, Kelowna, for 6 years (2007-2013). Shortly after his return to Summerland in 2013, Jack took a part time Administrative Pastoral role at SBC from which he retired in Sept 2019. He is now doing an interim role as the Administrator at SBC.
Jack lives in Summerland with his wife, Pam. They are surrounded in the “compound” by their 2 children, spouses, and 5 grandchildren and 2 granddogs! He is deeply committed to the role of the local church in the transformation of peoples’ lives.
