Meet Dustin Heigh

Youth Pastor

Dustin, his wife Christy, and their four children were first part of the SBC community in 2003. Both of their daughters were born in Penticton. They were members for five years before moving away to build their photography business in Alberta.

In 2010 they moved to Pender Island to serve as missionaries with One Hope Canada where Dustin worked as director of Hope Bay Bible Camp. The ministry at Hope Bay was unique and diverse with year round programming for youth, a church plant, discipleship program, and community outreach.

In 2015 they moved back to Lethbridge to be near family and pursue their passion for building church community and supporting missions. They became missionary Ambassadors for The Good Story and worked to use their experience in both missions and photography to coach and teach missionaries in the field. Their passion for youth and building community never waned and led to Dustin applying to be our Youth Pastor.

He and his family returned to Summerland in 2020 in the midst of the COVID pandemic. They are so thankful to be back home in Summerland and using their experiences and passion to build engaging and empowering Christ-centered community for youth.
