Christmas Advent #lovesummerland

Advent Day 1SBC loves Summerland and we want them to know it. Afterall, love is an action, not just a warm fuzzy feeling.

This Christmas season we want to encourage everyone to join in on the same advent calendar. A community advent calendar.

If your family is a normal family, pulling off an advent activity daily for TWENTY FIVE consecutive days is not only impossible but also sort of tortuous. Advent calendars have so many good ideas but that's kind of the problem....SO MANY ideas. Who can follow through? Not this lady. And not her minions.

Advent Day 5So, here's the good news, the C&F team is encouraging everyone to pick ONE day and ONE activity and just do that. With help from Orange we have created an advent calendar for you and we want you to use this calendar to intentionally love Summerland in tangible ways this December. Lets flood Summerland with the true meaning of Christmas - generosity, kindness, time with people we care about, connecting with our neighbors, putting others first, and loving the people Jesus loves.

We want to do this intentionally and together as an SBC family so please take pictures of your Advent Activity and post it online so we can participate in your part of the advent calendar. Lets start an advent movement this year!

Advent Day 13Post your pictures online using the hashtag #lovesummerland. If you have no clue how to do this, take a picture and send it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will post it for you.

On the first Christmas Day so long ago, a baby was born who was the Savior, The Good News for the whole world. God come down to earth to bring His love to His people. And while He is not a baby anymore, He is still here to love on His people. And He invites us to join the movement He started so long ago. Lets join together and spread His love to every home in Summerland this year.
