Faith at Home

Why is Faith at Home so important? Statistics show that parents are 2 to 3 times more influential than any church program, so it is important that faith begins at home. To encourage and equip you on the faith journey with your kids we are offering Take It Home Events.

Take It Home Events are parent/child workshops where the parent(s) and child come together to learn a new faith skill that they can continue developing in the home. This will take place on Sunday mornings during the regular ‘SBC Kids’ time and includes worship, interactive activity, parent-child discussion time and a take-home resource. The take-home resource is a critically important tool that is intended to enable each family to continue what they learned at the Take It Home Event.

There is one Take it Home Event planned each year for your child. The dates for the coming 2017-18 year are as follows:

Blessings (2 & 3 year olds) - June 24, 2018
Family Devotions (4 year olds) - May 27, 2018
Worship (Kindergarten) - May 6, 2018
Prayer (Grade 1) - January 28, 2018
Service (Grade 2) - October 22, 2017
My Bible (Grade 3) - February 18, 2018
Money & Me (Grade 4) - November 19, 2017
Spiritual Gifts (Grade 5) - April 29, 2018

Last year, we had our first ever Church-Wide Faith at Home Event... an event for the whole church family from young to old. What a beautiful thing, all ages worshipping together. Take a look at some of the special moments that were captured:

"Following Jesus Together: Reaching, Deepening, Restoring."
